Welcome to the Ylläs-Levi race on Saturday 13 April 2019 – a unique XC skiing challenge in Lapland! Starting at Ylläsjärvi, the course goes through beautiful Lapland fell scenery in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park via Äkäslompolo, Kukastunturi and Pyhäjärvi to the finish in Levi.
This 70km race is part of the Visma Ski Classics, a marathon ski championship series, and will be the final race for 2019. A challenging and rewarding course with both longer climbs and easier terrain through Arctic birch forests. If you prefer something more relaxed, an alternative 55 km route starts at Äkäslompolo and avoids the climb before Kätkänlaavu.
Offering excellent snow conditions throughout the winter, Western Lapland is the perfect place to complete your winter season. Both Ylläs and Levi are easily accessible by plane, train or car.
The race will be televised worldwide. If you can’t get here in person, enjoy the thrill of skiing through stunning fell scenery from the comfort of your own sofa.
